We encourage those who have questions, concerns or even complaints regarding any city related matter to contact the City. Overwhelmingly, our residents never hesitate to do so and City staff will provide the answers they seek accordingly. However, in certain instances, individuals will turn to social media for answers rather than contact the source (Note: please know that the City strongly supports the First Amendment and the unfettered right of our residents to comment freely on social media or otherwise). Unlike most larger communities, the City of Brown City and its staff are fully accessible to our residents and we remain committed to service. As always, myself and my staff will personally meet with any resident to fully discuss any issue or concern. Moreover, City Council meetings take place twice each month while many local governments only meet once.
The City does not actively monitor social media pages (not “big brother”), but in a small community, we are sometimes made aware of various discussions.
Lastly, thank you to all of our residents who make this such a great community. Our success and identity is grounded in our residents and their values. I hope this information was helpful and remember that we are here to serve you. If you see something on social media that doesn’t seem quite right, it’s probably not. Come see us or give us a call.
